Established in 1986, Interchange Gippsland is a highly regarded not for profit organisation that provides innovative and flexible support services to individuals with a disability and their families across the Gippsland region.

 

The position:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Program Coordinator to join our team at our Morwell Office. The Service Delivery Program Coordinator will work within the service delivery team to ensure that we continue to provide interesting, safe, supported and engaging experiences for our participants. The Program Coordinator undertakes a range of tasks, which includes the operation and maintenance of our current programs and overseeing the delivery of supports across the Latrobe region. The incumbent must demonstrate the ability to be proficient in the development and scheduling of services to ensure that our Community Access Workers continue to deliver a high quality service to participants engaged with Interchange Gippsland.

This list is not entirely comprehensive, but the incumbent will be expected to carry out duties such as:

  • Coordinate and monitor services to ensure that they are provided at a high standard and meet the participants needs;
  • Participate in the monitoring and allocation of program resources and planning;
  • The operation and maintenance of current programs and oversee the delivery of supports;
  • Assist in roster management;
  • Utilise electronic data bases and maintain up to date participant notes and files;
  • Provide support in the scheduling of services;
  • Working alongside participants to assist in achieving their goals in line with their NDIS plans;
  • Assisting in the induction of staff, students and volunteers;
  • Oversee the management of Community Access Workers and lead a small team
  • Coordinating record keeping and outcome reporting in relation to the NDIS requirements.

 

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Minimum of Bachelor degree in relevant social science, health or human services discipline (or near completion);
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check;*
  • Current Working With Children Check;*
  • Current driver’s licence;
  • Knowledge of the NDIS and their Practice Standards;
  • Experience in developing and leading small teams;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people;
  • An understanding of the issues and challenges facing children/young people with disabilities and their families;
  • Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise when working under competing priorities;
  • Demonstrated high levels of personal responsibility, reliability and initiative, with a capacity to work as part of a team, and work independently to achieve outcomes.

To be considered you must have completed a minimum Bachelor in a relevant social science, health or related human services discipline (or near completion).  A current driver’s licence, NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check and a current COVID-19 Vaccination status in-line with Victorian Health requirements for Disability Services industry is mandatory for the successful candidate.
