Aboriginal Family Camp
This activity runs once a year, for three days and two nights. The camp involves a variety of fun activities and some cultural connection opportunities. In past years, participants and their families worked together to produce a unique piece of artwork, collaborating with local Aboriginal artists. Some of these wonderful pieces are displayed in our offices around Gippsland.
Carer Wellbeing Retreat
This is a free event available to all carers in Gippsland, not just those associated with Interchange Gippsland. Provides an opportunity for carers to take time out from their caring roles to focus on improving their wellbeing by walking one of the amazing rail trails in the region. It usually runs over three nights and four days, including long walks, great food, morning meditation and facilitated discussions.
Family Camp
Our Family Camp runs once a year and allows Interchange Gippsland participants to come along with any immediate family (parents, carers, siblings, etc.) and enjoy an exciting camp environment. The activities change each year depending on which local camp is booked for the event.
Family Days
There are numerous family days hosted throughout the year, ranging from AGM meetings, family activity nights, family fun days, feedback forums and many more. We have something to suit everyone’s interests.
Sibling Camp
Interchange Gippsland helps facilitate Sibling Camps, giving siblings of people with a disability the opportunity to have some fun. There has been a range of activities available on these camps, from water-based fun to traditional camp activities.
Christmas Party
At Interchange Gippsland, we often host mid-year Xmas in July Party’s for participants and their families, along with a big end of year Christmas party for participants, staff and families combined. All attendees enjoy great food, fun Christmas themed activities and connect with other families.
