Established in 1986, Interchange Gippsland is a highly regarded not for profit NDIS registered organisation that provides innovative and flexible support services to individuals with a disability and their families across the Gippsland region.

 

The Position

We are seeking an incumbent that is an experienced, highly skilled and degree qualified leader to support and drive the implementation of our programs across the Gippsland region. The Manager of Support Services is responsible for the monitoring, coordinating and development of programs across Gippsland within the Service Delivery stream of the business.

In this role, you will utilise your community connections and partnerships to strengthen the participant experience and lead a team in coordinating programs across Gippsland that are delivered across our three office sites; Morwell, Wonthaggi and Bairnsdale. You will take a lead in the strategic planning and implementation of services and service development, including the recruitment and retention of staff.  Critical to your success in the role will be your working knowledge of the NDIS and the associated compliance and legislation requirements.

This list is not entirely comprehensive, but the incumbent will be expected to:

  • Coordinate and monitor allocated programs to ensure that they provide a high quality service
  • Monitor and allocate program resources and budgets
  • Participate in the development and implementation of key stakeholder feedback processes
  • Partake in the recruitment, selection and retention of staff process
  • Take a lead role in the strategic planning and decision making
  • Involvement and tenders and submission, and;
  • Much more!

 

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of Bachelor degree in relevant social science, health or human services discipline
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Current Working With Children’s Check
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Knowledge of the NDIS and their Practice Standards
  • Experience in developing and leading teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people
  • An understanding of the issues and challenges facing children/young people with disabilities and their families
  • Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise when working under competing priorities
    Demonstrated high levels of personal responsibility, reliability and initiative, with a capacity to work as part of a team, and work independently to achieve outcomes
  • An understanding of legislation and Government policy relevant to disability services, including a sound understanding of the principles of Social Justice
  • Competent in information technology skills
