The role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Accountant to join our Business Operations team our Morwell or Wonthaggi office.

As an Accountant with Interchange Gippsland, you will undertake a range of tasks including but not limited to:
- Undertaking a range of duties encompassing debtor and revenue management, bank reconciliations and expense monitoring;
- Providing a range of financial reporting to the Leadership Team and the Board of Management;
- Ensuring that the statutory financial reporting and taxation requirements of Interchange Gippsland are met within required timeframes;
- Assisting the Manager – Business Operations and driving systems enhancement initiatives.
- Invoice, receipt and reconcile all revenue and investigate any billing issues
- Monitor, manage and report on debtor balances to management
- Preparation of financial and reconciliation reports

The details:
This is a part-time, 3 days per-week (22.5hours) twelve month maternity leave back-fill position until January 2023 – with the possibility to extend upon review.
The position is based in either our Morwell or Wonthaggi office.
To be considered for this opportunity you must have completed a Bachelor Degree in a relevant Accounting, Commerce or Business discipline.
The incumbent must have a demonstrated understanding of accounting principles and knowledge of the Australian Accounting Standards and their application. The understanding of legislation relevant to Not-for-Profit Organisations, GST, Fringe Benefits Tax, Payroll, Superannuation and WorkCover will be critical to your success in the role.
Experience with Xero Accounting Software or TCM is preferred, though not mandatory.
A current driver’s licence, employee Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check are mandatory. If not already in possession of these checks, they can be obtained by the successful candidate.
Remuneration is in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services (SCHADS) Award at a level commensurate with experience.
